Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and good middle of night. Fellow travelers,

0:28.5

that's Dr. Stewart Bliss back for another episode of the Burthing Instincts podcast.

0:32.9

And he's back. You're back? I'm not back 100%, but. You here? Yeah. Well, by the time this one comes out, I'll have done two breach seminars. So I think when I've done a breach seminar and I've made it through it, that I'm back. Okay. Okay. Then we'll say you're back next week. I'm happy to see you. Thank you. I'm always happy to see you too. We've got a special guest today, Dr. Poppy Daniels, and she has the shortest bio of all times, so I'm going to read it real quick. We're going to get right into it because she's already in the waiting room. And we, like other people, hate to keep our guests waiting. So she is somebody that I've known for a

1:13.5

really long time. And well, I'll talk more about our relationship when I bring her on, but she is a

1:18.4

holistic OBGYN. Believe it or not, there are those people that exist out there. She's been in

1:25.8

private practice for 22 years, and we're going to

1:27.9

talk to her a little bit about that at some point, about what it's like to practice as a solo

1:32.7

practitioner in 2026. She has an interest in functional fertility, integrated women's health,

1:39.2

and a root cause-oriented approach to wellness. And on a personal note, she and I are in a, not WhatsApp, what's it

1:47.3

called, a signal group, a signal chat group with a whole bunch of other people. And she is one

1:55.2

person that keeps me really well informed. So I'm going to bring her in and say hello to our friend and colleague, my friend and colleague, and Bliss's new friend and colleague, Dr. Poppy Daniels. Good morning. Good after good. Good morning. Hi, Blos. Hi. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you virtually. Exactly. So tell us a little bit from your words.

2:23.6

What does it mean to be a holistic OBGYN? And how did that become kind of your passion?

2:30.9

Well, I probably had a similar reaction to the system that Dr. Suted, where I was trained in the system and integrated and indoctrinated by the system and then began to question the system after seeing issues and problems and inconsistencies and bureaucracy and politics and also just talking to

2:56.5

patients, you know? You talk to patients and they tell you it should be this way and then

3:02.6

it's actually not that way when you talk to the patient and you're like, hmm, this is not

3:06.8

what they taught me.

3:09.3

Probably all of our colleagues at some point have to see issues, inconsistencies, and problems.
