Welcome to Motivation Monday, where every Monday we answer all of your questions and have some real talks about life & fitness & get you fired up for the week! In this episode we talk about how to simplify ab training, meal timing tips for best results and how to mentally get prepared for a lift.

(18:20) - Question 1- I find I get overwhelmed with abs, I know there are a ton of great exercises, I see you do a lot of gym based ab exercises. How would you simply ab training?

(31:45) - Question 3- Sometimes, usually in the middle set or end of a lift, I psych myself out. I get all the way set up, hands on the bar, and then lose focus or confidence. I usually sit up, wait 30s and reset. I'm not on social or listening to anything but my music, so I think it's really all in my head. Just have these questions like will I be able to hit this, am I ready Wondered if you guys had any tips or tricks.

keep progress but make progress being insanely active 20 to 30 steps a day, did some crazy things like skydiving, wakeboarding, snowboarding, believe it or not, in a mall, like it was just an awesome trip. you know i i came across it recently i just thought it was such a powerful quote especially because

i think a lot of times we're so focused on the destination you're focused on you know getting from point

a to point b and you just want to get there as quick as possible.

And I find that those who start to, you know, I'm not saying that you have to absolutely love every part of the fitness journey and just, you know, kind of be obsessed with it at all times. but I think once you start to kind of appreciate it,

and you know, when you look at like a long walk, for example,

the person who actually just starts to enjoy it a little bit more

versus who just are so obsessed with getting to that endpoint

will be the person who ends up walking a lot further. And I just thought that was quite powerful. It's, you know, kind of a little bit deep. You have to think about it for a second or two, but it's just something to think about to, I guess you could say get the best long-term results on your fitness journey, whether it's nutrition, workout wise, cardio wise, you know, really anything in life. So once again, the man who loves walking will walk further than the man who loves the destination. That's my quote for this week. Yeah, we've spoken a lot too about just being present, you know, really loving the moment. And a good example too is if you're always fixated on, you know, like destination based like goal setting where it's like all be happy once I'm
