I think that, you know, on some level, it is all imagination.

When my grandmother would tell me a story about her life

in working as a showgirl in 1940s,

that like I could picture her there and I had never seen her.

And that when she would share that memory, she has a different image in her head of that thing.

But there's something about the sharing of memories and the creating this imaginary space within our head that, like, that's the only way the past lives.

You had like Dan Carlin's hardcore history that was around Mike Duncan's history of Rome, a few others.

And yes, in 2008, the Bowery boys were chugging along.
