Welcome back to the morning mindset. My name is Carrie Green. I'm glad you're here. I'm glad you're listening because this is an opportunity we have every day to set our minds along the line that we should be thinking.

And I wonder if you have thought of it that way, that there is a way that you should be thinking every

single day and it is the way of faith. It is the way of confidence in God and in

what he is doing in the world and that he's invited you as a follower of Jesus Christ to be a part of what he's doing in the world.

And the morning mindset is here to help you get your mind

aligned with his way of thinking. We've been looking at Psalm chapter 27 and we're

talking about the issue of fear.

Now you may not think of yourself as a fearful person.

You may not think of yourself as a person who struggles with being afraid of things or people or circumstances.

But I think if we're honest, we all will admit that at certain times in our lives especially, but also, just in general, we all struggle with this issue of fear.

It may not manifest itself an outright trembling and shaking. but it could be in the form of

nervousness or apprehension or anxiety. Those are manifestations of fear. In this section of Psalm chapter 27, beginning in verses 1 and 2,

addresses this issue of fear from a perspective of comparing our circumstance no matter how fearful it is

to the facts of who our God is. Let me read verses one and two again to give you an idea of what I mean. It says the

Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear. The Lord is the

stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?

And we've already talked about the beginning of verse one there about the issues of

light and salvation in the previous installment so you can

go back and listen to those if you would like but the second sentence he says the

Lord is the stronghold of my life.

Of whom shall I be afraid?

Now we don't have strongholds in our day,
