Hello Chris and all of you wonderful tangentially speaking audience around the world

My name is Eric and I'm just driving 500 kilometers from the city of Perth

down south to little town called Kaugan River on the southern ocean in Western Australia

I just listened to your podcast conversation with Stephen Jenkins and an incredible

Kim and yeah what I've perceived to be a true elder as I see you to be Chris

and it was a wonderful conversation that brought me to tears I must say

the authenticity and rawness is much needed I think and I certainly feel desperate for those moments

and yeah thank you again for providing such a beautiful conversation to us all

yeah if you haven't heard that conversation with Stephen Jenkinson it's worth checking out in the archives

and I was about two years ago and I know it was about two years ago because strangely I had been trying to get Stephen on the podcast for a while

he'd been a very popular listener request guest for some time and we'd been in touch

and he was on tour promoting I think it was his book but he does these musical events where he talks

and there's a band and it's this whole sort of multimedia thing

he was on tour doing that and came through LA and the only day that he could possibly do it was

I think it was a Sunday morning and that happened to be the day of the memorial service for my father

who had died a few weeks previous to that in early September

so yeah maybe it was a month or more than a few weeks I don't know but it was around this time of year I remember it was autumn

and of course Stephen Jenkins and if you don't know is someone who has helped hundreds or maybe thousands of people

through the transition from this life into whatever comes next so it was very poignant that conversation with him
