Hey everybody!

Alright, here's what's going to happen today. I posted that Romy yesterday, wear a damn mask,

and that got a lot of feedback. Some of it interesting and from humans and some of it I suspect from

bots and trolls and just douchebags. But I'm going to, I thought I would take a few minutes and

respond to some of the stuff that came in and elaborate my thinking on this a little bit further.

And also maybe fold into that some thoughts on critical thinking and ways that you can detect

bullshit in your own thoughts and in the thoughts of others. I'm not going to take a lot of time and

look if your mind is made up on the mask thing one way or another then you know you can probably save

yourself the time of listening to this. If you're not sure then maybe listen on. I don't know.

It's an interesting thing. I just watched the social dilemma the other night.

Maybe it was last night actually which maybe one reason why I wanted to re-engage with this topic

because after seeing that documentary I am experiencing it differently. It's really interesting.

I mean I posted this thing on Instagram and it probably got as much responses anything I've ever

posted on Instagram mainly because people are arguing with each other just going on and on and

then there's a post in the Reddit and then another post in Reddit and then somebody pointed out

that the second post came from someone who established a new username just to put that post so it's

probably just a troll who just enjoys seeing all this argumentation going on. And that actually

is one of the points of the social dilemma that the algorithms that have been developed by the

geniuses of Silicon Valley have no capacity to distinguish the truth from a lie. What they do

is they distinguish what triggers engagement versus what doesn't. And because Facebook, Instagram,
