I'm your host, Allie Feller, and today you're listening to episode 44, but you're also

getting quite a treat.

First, I have to give a shout out to everyone who is preparing to run the New York City

marathon this weekend in the greatest city in the world.

The greatest city in the world, you know Hamilton.

Have you never been to the city for the marathon, either to run it or to spectate, imagine

Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year's Eve, your birthday, and the anticipation you feel every

week before a new episode of This Is Us.

So take all that, multiply it by a billion, add millions of screaming fans, and that is

the New York City marathon.

So this year, whether you're racing, waiting at the start village, spectating, or watching

at home, here's a quick little something to listen to, and that will hopefully ease any

pre-race nerves you have.

Last night I had the privilege of attending Meb Kaflesky's retirement party here in New

York.

I spent a lot of time at the party with my dear friend Chris Heisler.

You might remember Chris from episode 6 of The Allie on the Run Show.

You know, he's the guy who he made you cry with his marathon story, but then he blew

your mind when he admitted to dating Gilmore Girl Alexis Blodell.

Very casual.
