Why is the church so reticent to talk about this topic?

As I said, you know, you seldom hear a sermon series of any length.

Talk about this topic.

You don't see much of a development of a theology of money.

Maybe a church will have a financial Sunday once a year.

But other than that, it's just crickets.

Why? I spoke at a church. This was about a year ago.

And it was on the topic of money. Anytime anybody asked me to speak, it's always going to be on money.

And I finished up the sermon. And after the service, we were, it's a Baptist church.

So like all good Baptist, we had a potluck.

And so I was in the line for the potluck and the pastor was with me.

And he said, Art, I am so thankful that you spoke on money today.

I said, well, thank you. I appreciate that.

See, because it means that I don't have to. And I wish that I could say that that story is an

isolated event. But I was literally a few months ago meeting with another ministry leader, and he's very well
