Hello and welcome to the almost 30 podcast. Hello everybody, it's Lins and Krista. Thanks for being here as always. Thank you so much for coming in.

We became in terms of your new followers and welcome. You don't need to be 30 or around it or anything near one the other side of 30s.

What that means is that when we were transitioning from our 20 store 30s to you guys know that time it and we're going up against an industry that brings in 151 great transition.

We've been looking forward to this for about a year. We were scheduled to buy 10 baller to us.

We had to go on missions and it's pretty hard to keep on schedule with someone that's traveling all over the world on mission with operation underground railroad.

We were just excited to make this one work especially right before the move.

The last time we scheduled time I believe he was doing a covert operation overseas. I just remember that feeling of the update from his team.

Obviously we always know that these will happen in perfect timing the conversations but I was like wow. This is this man's life and mission and truly doing God's work and I just couldn't help but think of the just the heaviness that he must be feeling as celebratory as some of these missions can be rescuing children from sex trafficking and sexual exploitation.

We just only imagine the emotional weight.

We got into that interview too talking with Tim about his self care, talking with Tim about how he keeps his strength in these moments that are just horrifying.

So just a little background so operation underground railroad really exists like Lindsay said to rescue children from sex trafficking and sexual exploitation all over the world so whether that's children being sold into sex slavery organ harvesting or slave labor.

There's over 200 million children all over the world who are currently slaves sex slaves work slaves or in the business for organ harvesting so he works all around the world to help get these and rescue these victims.

What's really really important too is that you are also has a comprehensive process involving the justice you know justice for the perpetrators and recovery and rehabilitation for the survivors which I think is just so incredible and he if you haven't watched operation to song I believe it's on Amazon Prime he also has other documentaries coming out soon so you can stay tuned for that.

But that particular documentary shares the story of it well it's two two kind of parallel stories but he does share about when he found his now son and daughter who he ended up adopting from an operation where he rescued children from a fake orphanage and they were selling children into the sex slave trade.

And so he rescued them before they were sold and now he.

He's their father and it's just a really beautiful story and so it absolutely recommend watching this in conjunction to listening to this interview.

Yeah and in this conversation it's just we talked about a little bit behind the scenes of what goes on and we just asked a lot of questions from our heart and I think one of the things that I found so interesting over the past couple years that I've not so much I've kind of changed my opinion on and I just sort of expanded my scope of understanding was actually related to the border like between Mexico and the United States and you know for so long I was like okay.

I was under the perception that having any sort of border control or anything at the border was saying that we were against immigration or it was like an immigration issue but I didn't realize after doing some research and even talking with Tim that it's not so much about that but more so about children being trafficked to and from Mexico the United States which is a huge place because they're legal so they can't be tracked in the United States so.

Coming to now have the understanding that a lot of times it's not for immigration to prevent it but it's more so to protect children from yes from being trafficked because when they get to you know a border checkpoint they have officials there who are trained to know and to pick up on any kind of strange behavior they're trained to ask you know the children questions and just kind of like that that's not the way to get that.

Like that is definitely a focus there at these border checkpoints and same I I really I changed my mind about that too we also just talk about how the issue of sex trafficking has been politicized.

This is not a political issue you know this is a human issue and just how that has really made.

The work he does hard to do at times not not like him hard to do it but.
