Right now we have Dean Spade who has been working to build queer and trans liberation

based in racial and economic justice for the past two decades.

He works as a professor at Seattle University School of Law.

We are so thrilled that you are with us today, Dean.

We've been followers of your work around Mutual Aid for a long time.

I know you have a YouTube video that we have used often to describe Mutual Aid, which

we will also be linking to in the show notes, but just dropping that here real quick.

But before we get into some of the meat and potatoes of the conversation, can you just

tell us a little bit about yourself and where you're from, like how, you know, what you're

about?

How did you get involved in this stuff?

Yeah, I live in Seattle now on Duwamish land.

But I'm originally from Virginia, from, like, rural central Virginia outside a place

that now everybody knows where it is Charlottesville, from, like, the countryside, little village

out there.

And I also lived in New York for a long time and some other places.

But yeah, how did I come to this?
