Straight from Afghanistan. We've heard a lot about Afghanistan. We're gonna let you set the record straight for us today

Chad you are a retired force recon marine and I'm going to mess that up if I try to explain it.

Why don't you tell the people how you served our country?

Well, it was a force recon marine.

I did eight diplomas to Afghanistan as eight eight as part of a

J-SOC joint Special Operations Command Task Force and working with one of our Premier Special Operations

units and you know I believe in the world and I got the chance to

represent the Marine Corps at that unit and serve as a AFO advanced force operator

doing clandestine logistics to put assault on targets on target to capture a kill bad guys and in that role

you work in undercover capacity usually in a single ten by yourself with

maybe with one or two other teammates and as he was my interpreter and my culture

advisor my teammate my friend so you all did a lot of life together yes without a

lot of support I mean on your own as I understand it out in the mountains and

yeah most parts of Afghanistan yeah across the out in the mountains and remote parts of Afghanistan.

Yeah, but across the border into Pakistan and you know, you're working by yourself like that

without a lot of military support because of the nature of the job and you really have to rely on your cultural and local expert and that was disease.

And we spent, I always say we spent a lot of time, like if you ever ride in a car with someone on a long trip,

just two of you in a 10 hour drive at the end of that drive you either love them or hate them.

I mean you know we've had a lot of those long drives and weeks and months together just the two of us.
