Hello, shameless moms.

I am so happy to be here with you today.

I am recording this episode, having just come back from the University of Washington,

for my 1,375th IVF fact-finding mission.

So that's what we're going to talk about today.

I posted on Facebook yesterday asking you all how you decided how many kids you were going to have.

Because for us, the decision to have a second

child has easily been the hardest decision of my life. I don't know if my husband would say

it's been the hardest decision of his life or not, but together it's, I think, I've been our

hardest decision as a couple. Just because there's so many conflicting emotions.

And some of them are like very practical things.

Like it's expensive to have a second child.

And then there's these emotional things that are like, oh, but baby snuggles and like,

you know, singing songs together.

And then there's barf and poop.
