| 0:00.0 | What's going on, everyone. Welcome to another episode of the fit, healthy, and most of all happy podcast. |
| 0:05.6 | As always, it's your coach and host Josh here with his co-host and co-coach KG and I'm in the house. |
| 0:11.8 | If you're new around here, welcome to our podcast. And our goal here is to make everyone fitter, |
| 0:16.1 | healthier and happier. If you're being around, thank you for continuing to want to invest in |
| 0:19.9 | yourself. You know, I think this is just such a great analogy of coming into this to check up on yourself, make sure you're okay. It's like how doctors, even though you're healthy, you know, you have those checkups, you have those reminders or even a better analogy. You know, every time I find I get my teeth clean, I always think, man, I got to do better. I got to be more on it. They feel so good when they're nice and clean, right? And that's where this podcast is so important. |
| 0:38.5 | By tuning in every Monday and Thursday, you're getting some fuel, some motivation, as well as some know-how on how to level up in all areas of life. But we're going to go ahead and kick this off with some killer quotes and we're going to see what Coach KG has to get us moving. Yeah. So my quote is quite simple this week, but it really, really fired me up. |
| 0:55.4 | And, you know, thank you to Josh for giving me an incredible book, which I'm really excited about. But basically it is, you know, and the book, by the way, is discipline equals freedom. It's a very simple one. It's just very intense. But, you know, each day I read it for a few pages in the morning. It gets me fired up. |
| 1:11.6 | But the quote that I gathered from the book is, discipline is about doing the tasks you don't want to do, |
| 1:18.9 | but you know will help you. It's about facing your fears so you can conquer them. And I thought |
| 1:23.7 | that was just like so powerful. And I'm actually just going to pull up like a little part of, you know, the book that I was like just reading and, you know, kind of give you guys a little bit of fire where, you know, it's just the application of discipline. So I'm just going to spend a minute or two here. And it started with discipline starts with waking up early. It really does. But that is just the beginning. You absolutely have to apply to things |
| 1:44.9 | beyond waking up early. It is working out every day, making yourself stronger and faster and more |
| 1:50.0 | flexible and healthier. It is eating the right foods to fuel your system correctly. It is |
| 1:55.9 | disciplining your emotion so you can make good decisions. It's about having the discipline to |
| 1:59.9 | control your ego so it doesn't get out of you, out of hand and control you. It's about treating people the way you want to be treated. It's about doing the task you don't want to do, but you know will help you. It's about facing your fear so you can conquer them. That's where I stole the quote from. And then it just means taking the hard road, like I can go on for days here, but it's just so powerful because like i know we always talk about discipline over motivation and stuff and just reading these simple quotes i was just like man i just want to be like the most disciplined person you know the most disciplined version of myself and um yeah i just want to show out with you guys because a lot of it just hit home it's like man like there's just so many times people like oh i don't feel like getting up i don't feel like working out. I don't feel like going for a walk or doing cardio, but it's like, man, like there's just so many times people are like, oh, I don't feel like getting up. I don't feel like working out. |
| 2:34.9 | I don't feel like going for a walk or doing cardio. |
| 2:36.9 | But it's like, hey, you know, a majority of us don't, but you still got to get it done. And that's definitely, you know, the definition of discipline. I feel like what will help a lot of people stay consistent and ultimately reach their goals long term. 110% being really fired up on just the concept of discipline over motivation lately and if |
| 2:53.3 | you even spend the time to think about that you reach their goals long term. 110% being really fired up on just the concept of discipline over motivation lately. |
| 2:53.0 | And if you even spend the time to think about that, you definitely should because |
| 2:56.1 | connects those dots when things are hard. |
| 2:58.2 | And I think this is a great segue into my next quote. |
| 3:00.8 | And that is that leaders anticipate losers react. |
| 3:04.5 | And I've spoken before about taking control, you know, grabbing the wheel for your own life, being engaged. And, you know, even I've spoken before about taking control you know grabbing the wheel for your own life |
