TJ Miller is a comedian and actor. You've seen him in Silicon Valley, Deadpool, Ready Player One, and more. I kept asking him about his success. And how he got there. He told me to stop trying "manufacture" it. I laughed. He kept cracking jokes. He'll make you laugh. And think. Because he studies a lot of philosophy. That's where a lot of his comedy comes from. 0:19.2	Obviously when you're already a big name and people are paying to see you,

0:25.0	But in the beginning, you find this was like the hardest part.
0:29.0	You know, I'm trying to make people happy.
0:31.6	So through my entire life, you know, it's not hard to be likeable when you want people to laugh and be happy.
0:37.6	And when that's all you think about and that's something that you really devote yourself to and you work as hard as I've worked on it.
0:43.6	The charisma sort of becomes more quickly than the actual craft of Joe Craig.
0:48.8	And so, so when you first started doing stand-up, did you think you had to play the game of premise punchline like everyone else?
0:57.0	So did you go right into, I think one of my strengths is I actually don't take myself seriously.
1:02.8	So I really, for reals, do not take any of this seriously.
1:07.8	I never took it seriously that I was going to figure out how to do stand-up.
1:11.6	I just knew, you know, I learned this from my father.
1:14.6	If you work harder than anyone around you, then you will be successful.
1:17.8	And so I just figured you got to work and I'll figure it out as I work.
1:22.6	So you were going up on stage.
1:24.0	And so it's saying to me that people don't understand me.
1:25.8	I know. And it's not necessarily their fault.
1:27.6	I think a lot of people, more and more, Kate and I have this big thing right now.
