So great to have you. I cannot think of a more appropriate title for the world we live in today,

and the title of the book, I'll repeat it again, Big Feelings. How to be okay when things are

not okay. That just seems like 2022. This is our world.

But to rewind, let's start with the why behind this book for you and Liz. Why this book?

Our first book came out in 2019. It was called No Hard Feelings.

And after that, we both went through some really difficult times, personally and professionally,

and we realized, like, okay, there, there actually are some really hard feelings to work through.

And I had just moved across the country. I was dealing with some chronic health issues.

Sorry, lonely. Went through a period of really deep depression and despair.

Liz's father-in-law was dying of cancer. And so in January of 2020, we pitched an idea

for writing a book about difficult emotions to our editors. And they said,

well, like, we think that's sort of a niche audience. Like, you know, who's going to want to read a

book that sounds really depressing? And we said, okay, you know, we hear you. And then in June of 2020,
