I think deer live on 20% of the landscape. Don't focus on the 80%, focus on the 20% or less. And often, perhaps with mature deer, it may be the 2% or the 1%. I kind of think deer are simple creatures at the end of the day.

Like they only care about a few things.

The most important thing to a mature deer, whether that be a dough that's nine years old or a buck that's seven years old

or whatever, is security. If you've ever struggled to break down a new property, find consistent

buck movement or feel like you're hunting in the right spots but not seeing the results. This

I'm good, man. How are you? I'm doing really well. And I'm venturing outside of my comfort zone and we're headed east because where are you at right now? It's not the Midwest for most of my conversations take place. Not the Midwest. I'm in the great state of North Carolina. Okay.

We were talking, you grew up in Florida, ended up in Virginia for school, was that right?

And then you kind of stayed in that area ever since then?

Yeah, so born and raised in central Florida, didn't do a ton of hunting there.

But growing up, you know, everybody in our community, you know, in the southeast, it's a little bit different, I think, than most places in the country. It's big

lease culture here. So like everybody leases land, you know, even in North Carolina, but really,

really heavily, like Georgia, Florida, and a lot of folks from Florida travel

to South Carolina and Georgia and Alabama

to do their deer hunting.

So that's what we did.
