Looking back at these events a thousand years later, knowing everything that happens,

York. Or if you had heard about it, it was probably a short sentence that was largely

11th century, the retaking of York was a massive event.

Momsbury, recounting the tale years later, wrote about how Earl Waltheoff went off on
