Jared Ward

Born and raised in Kaysville, Utah, Jared attended Davis High School prior to Brigham Young University, where he earned a Masters Degree in Statistics. While competing for the Cougars, Jared was a two-time Cross Country All-American. The streets of Los Angeles have become Jared's home away from home winning the 2015 US Championships and qualifying for the 2016 Olympic marathon team there. In addition to running fast himself, Jared is passionate about helping other develop as running, stating: "I have been given a gift and I want to share what I have learned."

Well, thanks for joining us, Jared, on the C. Tully Run podcast. Hey, thanks for having me, Carrie. I'm so excited to be with you. Yeah, so you and I have been texting a little bit. You're running from place to place. So where were you this morning? Because it's pretty early. Did you already get your run in? You know, you fed your three kids. Have you taught a class? No, I did meet with a student this morning. No run today yet. We're

just getting into Taper now for the marathon now in just less than two weeks, so just one run

later today a little bit longer. But my kids have been struggling with this cold that I think I'm just now getting over to.

And so the home nightlife with three coughing kids has been a fun adventure.
