Hey, everyone, I'm Olympian Kerry Telopsin and welcome to the C-Tolly Run podcast.

Today I'm sharing a live podcast that I did with Minnesota Distance Elite.

Minnesota Distance Elite is a distance training center based right here in Minnesota.

It was founded in 2001,

and I was a member of this team, which was called Team USA, Minnesota back in the day.

Since then, it's developed two Olympians and 24 national champions. This live event was a way to meet

some of the current team members, 21 of them, to be exact.

We also heard from coach Chris Lundstrom, and we learned how we can support this team and help them continue to be competitive and hopefully make those U.S. teams.

So let's hear a little bit more about

MDE, and let's get after it. First of all, I just want to say thank you. I love this. So I got to

meet a couple of the newbies. I'm calling everybody newbies that's here from the 2024 class

of MDE, but I feel like the big sister, I tell all the athletes that calling everybody newbies that's here from the 2024 class of MD.

I tell all the athletes that all the time,

but this is so much fun every time I get to do this,

because this is like family for me.

And being able to be part of Team USA,

which is what I was Team USA, Minnesota back in the day,

and now Minnesota Distance Elite,

this is just a fun evening again. So tonight we're going to get to meet three different groups, and some of you know, some of the old, they call them the OGs tonight, they're not the OGs. These are the oldies, maybe the oldies, but we are the OGs. Like, you've got to be plus 40 to be an OG. So we'll bring up three different groups.
