I just had a fantastic conversation with Josh Porter.

He's the author of How to Die, Chaos, Mortality,

and the Scandal of Christian Discipleship. Josh used to be in a band called Showbread.

Josh is going to have a more slightly non-affirming position when it comes to queer inclusion.

So I set it up front because I don't want my audience, especially my queer audience, to feel like they've been bamboozled in this episode.

I don't have a lot of people on who are not affirming these days, but I really actually, in a way, appreciate Josh's perspective for what it is.

conversation about his book, about Christian discipleship. He fully rejects Christian nationalism.

He rejects the evangelical fundamentalism that shaped both him and myself, I'm sure many of you.
