Okay, you guys, today we get to talk about undercover feminism in the conservative church.

I think this is just as prevalent as the feminism that we see by and large at pride parades, flying flags.

We see this flagrant disrespect for masculinity, this hatred of the term patriarchy, this frustration with

male leadership, feeling like women are excluded from something good. We don't know quite what

it is, but we want it. And this is just as prevalent in the church, it just looks different. And I

would say even the conservative

church where some feminists would look at these poor women, you know, I put poor in air quotes,

saying, oh, man, they are so beat down. This is what we need feminism to help with. And I actually

think that these women that are so beat down, I put in air quotes,

are part of the problem. So anyways, it's going to be fun to talk about today. This is based

off of an article that, well, it's based on a conversation that Elish and I had, right?

It is. Yeah. It's kind of an ongoing conversation. I probably started six months ago.

And we've continued to discuss it.

And yeah, I mean, through some books, we've read, I think just observations we've made,

even deconstructing our own relationship, you know, retrospectively, and identifying some tendencies that I had

early on to be passive when it came to not leading well. And even me resisting that patriarchal

calling that God has for men and leaders of their home lent to us going down various paths, I think,

at times that we're not at now, thank goodness. But I think it's been interesting kind of like

evaluating and looking retrospectively at some of our history. Yeah, I think it's so easy to be

feminist and not realize it. At least it is for me.

I wouldn't say I was a feminist.

But when I look at actions over the course of our marriage, and the Lord has really convicted me and continues to convict me
