Well, hello there. I'm Nurse Mo, and this is the Straight A Nursing podcast where I teach concepts and share tips on how to thrive in school and at the bedside. Well, it must be Monday because I am back

with another Mo's Monday

minute where I share a quick tip that you can start utilizing right away. And today's tip

is all about time management and I'm sharing a great hack with you, especially if you're a

nursing student or a new nurse and you haven't quite streamlined your workflow yet.

So of course, when you're new, you remember being taught how to do a head to toe assessment.

You were taught how to do that in a very step by step way so that you wouldn't accidentally

omit something, right? You're going to do all the parts in a

specific order and do it the same way every time. Absolutely a fabulous idea when you're starting

out. But as you probably noticed, it makes for a very slow assessment and it can take a long

time to do your head to toe assessment in that way.

Now, once you get adept at performing a thorough head to toe assessment, you will need to get

much faster at this just because as a nurse, you're working, you've got multiple patients

and you've got a lot of things to do in a short amount of time and one

really great way to get more efficient with this is to bundle your assessments it is my favorite
