It's heartwarming to see members of Congress post Christmas pictures on social media of their families holding weapons.

Reptomus Massier, Republican from Kentucky kicked off the trend with a Twitter post in which he and six other members of his family are seen holding guns in front of a Christmas tree,

because those two things go so beautifully together.

He did this four days after the mass shooting in Oxford, Michigan in which a 15-year-old boy murdered five of his fellow students.

Because being the worst possible person you can be is a new goal of elected Republicans. He wrote in his tweet, PS, Santa, please bring ammo.

Presumably because Ethan Crumbly, the shooter, was looking for ammo on the internet, which is hysterical if you're a sociopath, I guess.

After the fallout, Massie claimed that bringing together guns, family, and Christmas adds up to freedom,

which suggests he doesn't know what any of those words means. But it triggers the leftists, no pun intended, I'm sure, so that's all that matters.

I'm going to double down, he said, I'm never going to delete that picture, which is increasingly attacked on the right.

Never admit you're wrong and double down on your wrongness.
