Today we are going to be talking about a general topic of

disease prevention in the garden.

Like our own bodies, it's going to be a lot easier to just prevent a disease from ever happening in the

first place than to treat it once you actually have it.

So it's the same in the garden.

Vegetable diseases can absolutely decimate your garden, especially things like howdery mildew, downy mildew, all the different

types of blight that can come along.

So today that's what we're going to discuss.

How do we give our garden the best shot

at avoiding these diseases in the first place

so we don't even have to worry about treating powdering mildew

because we don't get it.

So the first thing to do is to avoid really common gardening mistakes.

Things like planting out of season, things like overcrowding,

because that's going to give more contact points and more pockets of humidity and moisture that many diseases

like if you overcrowd.

So avoiding common gardening mistakes is going to be a really good idea.
