Summary

Bob breaks down the apparent wrongful conviction of Charles Raby. Charles was interrogated by Detective Waymond Allen, with the Houston Police Department. Much like Jennifer Jeffley, his interrogation led to Allen typing out a written confession, which Raby signed. Years later forensic evidence seems to prove that the confession was false. 1:20.8	You'll remember that it was Alan who interrogated 15-year-old Jennifer Jeff Lee for seven hours
1:26.2	without a parent ever being notified that she was a suspect in direct violation of Texas
1:31.8	law.
1:33.2	Throughout the process, he brought her candy, shared a meal with her, and according to Jennifer,
1:38.2	promised her that if she just signed a statement, that she could go home.
1:42.4	He elicited a clearly false confession from 15-year-old Jeff Lee, complete with provably
1:47.5	false details that can be traced back to Alan's own assumptions.
1:52.6	The confession was ultimately thrown out by an appeals court, which unfortunately for
1:57.3	Jennifer was not enough to overturn her conviction.
