I want to talk right now about something that runs counter to what so many people have

been told their whole lives.

And that is you want to stretch as far as you can to buy a home, even to the point where

you're wheezing to afford the cost of that home.

Now, there are people who don't feel as strongly that way after the banking scandals

the last decade that led to the housing bust in much of the country.

But it's still something that people have been told has been passed down to them.

And people will scrimp and save for the down payment to buy an expensive home or a home

that's expensive for them.

And it just leaves no give in their budget.
