U.S. senators want information from an ethics probe of the Attorney General nominee.

The probe expected to end with his resignation.

Senator Dick Durbin, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, where the nomination for Attorney

General would go for hearings as part of the confirmation process,

says he wants the House Ethics Committee to preserve and share the ethics investigation report

into now former Congressman Matt Gates. Make no mistake, this information could be relevant

to the question of Mr. Gates' confirmation as the next Attorney General of the United States

and our constitutional responsibility to advise and consent.

Gates is under investigation surrounding allegations he engaged in sexual misconduct with a minor

and illicit drug use, which he denies.

Fox News Learning the Ethics Panel does plan to meet tomorrow. A ban on gender-affirming care for minors is upheld in Indiana.

The Indiana law that bans giving transgender youth puberty blockers or hormone treatments can remain in effect.

A federal appeals court panel

ruling the law does not violate the constitutional rights of transitioning youth, their parents,

or medical providers. A spokesperson for the American Civil Liberties Union representing the plaintiffs

says they are weighing their options for an appeal. The U.S. Supreme Court is preparing to hear

a challenge to a similar law in Tennessee.

That decision will likely determine the future of gender affirming care bans in two dozen states.
