| 0:00.0 | That is the most startling ring in the world. God bless. It's night time. I don't have lights in the room on because I that's the way I like it and all the sudden do do do at like a billion decibels. It's not your fault. You're just doing what you need to do but holy god it makes me jump six feet every time. |
| 0:20.0 | I have the same problem but in reverse because since since we last spoke I got the 250 ohm 770s. Oh just and was trying to see if my things can drive them and they can I can drive them out enough to do a podcasting but you do have to crank up the volume. So if you forget that you did that. |
| 0:38.0 | And then unplug that stuff and your volume is close to max everything is very startling. I'm not using them though today though because the pads that come with them are not good. |
| 0:49.0 | Well I don't mind them. I mean you do you if they don't work for you that's fine but I don't think they're so bad. I mean mine feels so like I'm like have these been sitting in the box for a long time they're like stale like crackers. They're just kind of like I don't know. I feel like I I knew this going in but like they're circular right. |
| 1:06.0 | Nothing on the side of my head is the appropriate shape to go into a circle. So this isn't the they apply pressure in some weird places anyway I have the good pads coming so once they arrive I will swap them out. |
| 1:21.0 | That's all I'm still using the old faithful for this podcast. That's fair. So I'm curious Casey you mentioned that you podcast in the dark. |
| 1:31.0 | You had a matter of speaking yes the lights in the room are not on. I podcast in the brightest office I can possibly create because we do the show 9 p.m. |
| 1:42.0 | And I am an old person and I have to get up for school in the morning for kids school. And so I am always battling being tired. And so right like you know I make sure on podcast day I try to get a nap sometime in the |
| 1:59.0 | late afternoon if I can for like a half hour to help refresh me I will delay my afternoon coffee until right after that nap. So that way I'm like fresh ready to go as much as possible I will even avoid eating a carbohydrate heavy dinner. |
| 2:13.0 | Oh my word because that would make me more tired. And then when it comes time for the podcast I am in full full lights. And none of them can be particularly warmly colored like none of this 2700 KBS |
| 2:28.0 | 2700 K lights are for like I don't know with campfires and romance novels those there's so yellow at like nobody should ever work under 2700 K lights give me like the 4,000 K that that's what I want here 4,000 K. |
| 2:43.0 | You know it's hilarious listening to you say that because I believe the air and approved light temperature or whatever the correct term is in our home is 2700 K. |
| 2:51.0 | For many typical indoor lights that is that is the right choice. But not when you want to be like awake and working it is it is the wrong color to be awake and working in. |
| 3:02.0 | Now I'm not saying you should go with the 5,000 K quote daylight color that is the wrong choice for almost everything as well. |
| 3:10.0 | That's the problem with like modern LED light choices is that almost all LED lights are available in just those two choices you have 2700 K which is quite yellow. |
| 3:20.0 | And you have 5,000 K which is quite blue for indoor lighting. And the the better choice is almost always between 3000 K and 4000 K. And you can get some LEDs in those color temperatures but they're not all a common case. |
| 3:36.0 | In almost every case where people use 2700 K bulbs a 3000 K bulb is actually a better choice. And in almost every case where people use 5,000 4000 is an almost always better choice. |
| 3:48.0 | For my office I like 4000 but that is too blue for what most people would want in say a bedroom or a bathroom or even like a living room at night you don't want you don't want like your living room at night to be like super neutral to blue. |
| 4:04.0 | So but even then like a 3000 K is usually a better choice and the 2700 K yellowish approximation that LEDs come in is actually it might be I think it's actually more warm it's more yellow than incandescent bulbs typically were. |
| 4:21.0 | But I don't know it's it's sad that we have these these two extremes of LED bulbs leaving people to almost always choose a bad choice. |
| 4:30.0 | I mean I believe I presented a couple of different options to air and way back when we started to transition to LED which was probably years after you did Marco but you know spend a few years for us now. |
| 4:41.0 | And she just wanted something that that fairly closely to her I mimicked incandescent bulbs and that's how we landed on 2700 which isn't to say anything you said is wrong all on trying to say is that's what I'm preferred so that's what we stuck with if you permit me attention though. |
