and hate simultaneously this week we are talking about 2002's The Sweetest Thing.

Yes, was this movie a big hit? I think it was, was it?

I think it did okay.

I think it was really positioned, like they were really marketing it as like this is going to be a big hit among women and their friends and I don't think it quite popped off as well as they were hoping it would

Mm. Makes sense but you one could argue that it laid some groundwork for something like a bridesmaid yes it's been called a precursor to that movie

And like this has a cast that I really like Cameron Diaz

Selma Blair, Christina Applegate. I will say that like I would really love to see the original script of this movie because this is a movie where I can

really feel like the male executives just being like,

okay, but who's going to get horny for that?

Like, oh, like, no, put them in their underwear and do all these things that were clearly not for the audience

I think the script is really meant for.

There are some moments that I find really, really charming, but then overall this movie kind of falls flat especially with the

ending I think so too yeah I agree I think the original shooting script was also a

lot raunchier so I think there was probably a lot of pull back but then throw things in that are very
