Then, in 2006 he founded the John Paul The Great Academy, a co-ed, K-12 Catholic liberal arts school in Lafayette, Louisiana. 1:07.0	I don't know anything about their history or I don't know who set up the first one. I don't really know exactly who draws upon them and why and what effect they have on public policy at the local and state and national level.

1:30.7	and to put them in context before we start talking about your think tank and specifically.

1:38.0	At its base, any think tank, whether it's on the political left or the political right or in the center
1:43.8	starts with research it may focus on a certain set of public policy issues
1:49.6	the purpose of that research is a little bit different maybe even a lot different in some cases than the research that you might do as a professor that I was doing as a history professor,
1:59.0	and that is the purpose of the research at a think tank is to affect the outcome of public policy.
2:05.2	Some think tanks will only focus on the research.
2:08.5	Other think tanks, as we'll no doubt discuss, will use that research and then hire people to go advocate,
