Thank you. Hello everybody. Welcome to Latter Day Struggles. This is your host, Valerie. And I'm so excited to be here today. Today is one of the more fun days of my recording life because I get to actually record looking at

human faces on the Zoom screen.

Today is an office hours. And I do these every couple of months in an effort to, well,

talk about things that are kind of coming up in like current events. And also it's my way to say

thank you to those of you who have chosen to support me and who listen to

the full content who listen to both Mondays and Fridays episodes. This is a special opportunity

for those of you who want to join me on a Zoom call. And sometimes it's sort of straight up

question and answer the whole time. Sometimes like today, I am going to be spending a little bit of time. And for those of you who are live with me on the Zoom call, you're going to get to watch me just sort of offer some content for a podcast. So usually, as I mentioned, I'm sort of looking out into the distance. I do have at least a nice window in front of me, so I get to look out into the woods. But today I get to look, I get to look at your faces as well. So we are just finished with the

general conference, 25, April of 2025. And as I had mentioned to this group before we sort of hit

the record button, I have sort of a tentative plan about what I think I might want to sort of talk about,

but I always am sort of waiting to see if something emerges that feels like it needs to

take precedence over whatever my plans were.

So sort of an attempt for me to be organic and respond to actual needs as they arise. So that happened this

weekend. There was one specific address that was offered by Elder Neil Anderson. I think it was on

Saturday. And it was a talk addressing abortion. And there were a lot of, I was actually the soccer game of one of my children.

And so I wasn't actually listening to this. And all of the sudden, my social media direct messages sort of started like blowing up.

And I was like, oh, what's going on? Like what's happening? And so I started listening and kind of looking at what was going on and

yeah then I went ahead and listened to the address itself and so I I'm probably not going to

spend too too much time right now reviewing the address I would invite you if this is new to you
