Today I'm with El Grover Frick's to take a closer look at the work of John the Baptist.

Yes, or as one might say, Yuchenon the immercer because he probably was into dancing unlike some of our Baptist friends.

I grew up Baptist which means that I get to make more Baptist jokes.

Perfect.

We need more of that.

Yeah and the looking closer is because we actually have of course two

not one but two wonderful episodes in the Baymoc canon. Tavi Lata de Chuvae, and bringing order to chaos on this particular chapter of Matthew 3.

So we're going to look, we're going to zoom in a little bit more than Marty had time to on these specific elements.

Specifically in the work of John the Baptist, we're going to be focusing on that first part of

Matthew three more than the second part with the baptism of Jesus and we'll be applying as we have throughout the series this Talmudic lens to say what can we learn

from the Jewish conversation in the first century that might illuminate more goodness in this chapter,

more stuff that we can really get a handle on and say,

maybe this was what Yucatanani

the immercer was up to with his prophetic imagery out there.

pearls as it has been said but before we jump into any of that would you mind

reading for us that first half of Matthew three from the L.E. B. Now in those days

John the Baptist came preaching in the Judean wilderness and saying,

repent for the kingdom of heaven has come near.

For this is the one who is spoken about by the prophet Isaiah saying,
