honor of talking with our dear friend Kila Smook. Now Kila is a

women's health advocate who is passionate about

getting women off hormonal birth control while also helping them understand their

menstrual cycle so that they can take their health into their own hands. She runs

several women's wellness retreats each year in

Central and North America designed to immerse women in a hormone

supportive lifestyle and she's also the host of the Intentional Health

podcast. Now today I know I said like men both of you men and women stay it is so good like

Kila broke down women's like the cycle so freaking well yeah yeah today we talked a lot about her journey of getting off of

hormonal birth control and just her whole process of learning going from

basically nothing of understanding her hormones to now where she is helping other women understand because it is such an under misunderstood conversation or topic in our world today, especially as women.

Most teenage girls like get on birth control from the get-go,

often not even for the reasoning of preventing pregnancy,

just for like a myriad of issues,

and she really talks through how hormonal birth control can just

kind of suppress those issues without actually healing them and then it causes a bunch of other issues.
