wrapping up my chat with Brandy Danielle Houston,

Hamilton Broadway's hair supervisor, and I gotta tell you we've covered a lot of ground.

From Brandy's time growing up in the carnival business, to finally discovering her

passion, to then struggling to feel seen and heard as a professional on tour,

she got a ton of experience but also endured a lot of trauma along the way.

But then she made it to a place where she finally felt set up for success,

Hamilton on Broadway.

And look, it hasn't been without its challenges,

especially as a white woman working on the hair

of Bipoc performers, which she talks about in the last episode.

But the experience as a whole has been a very welcome change for someone

who's been in survival mode a lot of the time.

So here it is in Brandy's own words.
