0:09.8

So I've just come back for my run, about to go on holiday tomorrow, went out for a run with the dog.

0:14.4

Just wanted to get a bit of fitness thing because I haven't been for a run for a while or played rugby because I've hurt my back.

0:19.2

And I just I was running and I thought, do you know I feel good I feel really good I'm outdoors and with the dog I feel strong I feel fit and it made me think about

0:30.4

exercise and why we do it and how we want to feel. Now bear with me this might be a bit of a

0:36.7

tangent. So we've talked on the podcast before about the things that we do in our lives and why we do them. So I want you to live an awesome life.

0:48.0

That's it. I want to live an awesome life. I want my career to fulfill me, my relationship to fulfill me, my exercise have meaning

1:36.9

get the upper hand there's a great you know competitive reward from sport and we would be idiots to deny that that is something

1:46.5

that is inherent within us to try and you know be powerful in a sense and conquer you know it's been in our DNA for a long time that kind of

1:56.4

will to survive and overcome against other people and then I lift weight so I lift weight because I want to look good. It's good for the

2:06.3

body, it's good for the muscles and the joints. But also I want that sense of strength, that

2:12.0

sense of power, that sense of power, that sense of control, and where some people go wrong with that is comparing

2:20.3

it to other people. So I do exercise for a feeling for an outcome for me not for anyone else

2:28.7

so if I go in the gym and I deadlift a hundred kilos and that makes me feel strong.
