to show for it. They report living in disorder and chaos, feeling socially isolated and feeling

vulnerable among other difficulties. In today's webinar, we'll learn more about the lived

experiences and stories of women who were diagnosed with ADHD later in life, and how they

overcame these challenges. These accounts are based on our webinar presenters' interviews

with dozens of women with ADHD, all age 16 older, and leading today's presentation

were pleased to welcome Dr. Kathleen Nido. Dr. Nido earned her degree from the University

of Florida, where she worked with Dr. Paul Sass, one of the early pioneers in understanding

the newly developing field of learning disorders. She is the author or co-author of 13 books related

to ADHD and is a frequent lecture both nationally and internationally. Her first major publication

in the mid-1990s was a comprehensive guide to ADHD and adults, research, diagnosis, and

treatment. Since that time, she has written a best-selling book for children with ADHD titled

Learning to Slow Down and Pay Attention, as well as books on ADHD for teens and college students

for adults in the workplace and for adults with ADHD. In 1999, she shared the Chad Hall of Fame

Award with her co-author Dr. Patricia Quinn for the groundbreaking work on advancing the understanding
