My name is Annie Rogers, and on behalf of the Attitude Team, I would like to thank you for

joining today's ADHD experts presentation on IEPs and 504 plans for students with ADHD

and learning challenges, how to choose your path, what to do when you encounter obstacles

in your path, and how to know if a detour is warranted.

IEPs and 504 plans are designed to meet students learning needs and power their success

in school from elementary through high school.

They can be powerful tools, however, securing and maintaining an IEP or 504 plan can be

confusing and a time-consuming process.

For a number of reasons, it's not always smooth sailing after a student is approved for accommodations

and services.

Sometimes the schools fail to follow through on a student's plans.

Other times the plan just doesn't work or the student's needs change with age and circumstance.

In this webinar, we will start with an overview of IEPs and 504 plans and then look at how

to troubleshoot common issues that parents encounter with these programs.

And today's presentation is Susan Yellen.

Susan is the director of advocacy and transition services at the Yellen Center for Mind, Brain,

and Education, an innovative learning support and diagnostic practice in New York City.

She co-authored the award-winning book Life After High School, a guide for students with

disabilities and their families, and she was the founding director of the Center for
