And you're listening to the Important Cinema Club. And today we're talking about what has

turned into a yearly tradition visiting the Mahoning Drive-in.

That's right. In the Mahoning Valley in Pennsylvania, there is an oasis.

There is a drive-in theater that's been active for 75 years that still plays 35-millimeter

film.

Yeah, that's their whole gimmick, is that I don't know if they said always on film.

Maybe I'm thinking of the theater that Quint Tarantino owns, the new Beverly, but mostly on film is, you know, their big draw. They don't play second run movies. They basically only play classical films or, you know, if they get rented out and somebody wants to do a screening. And they do all sorts of things. Like lots of, you know, cult movies, lots of classic movies. They'll do things,

you know, movies that everyone likes and has heard of like, I don't know, Willie Wonka in the

Chocolate Factory or I think they're playing the Monster Squad, you know, stuff like that,

nostalgic classics, but they also, and we like to come out for this, play some of the weirdest,

some of the freakiest, some of the cultiest, some of the

most, I can't believe they're playing this on a theater screen movies ever made.

And this usually happens during the summer and they're like weekend affairs.

And me and Will have attended when they did schlachorama.

the tip of the iceberg. Yeah, I mean,

they also had the Three Stooges have Rocket Will Travel. Edward, an Edward Alcon film. I mean,

unbelievable what they were playing that weekend. And so we had a great time. You can actually
