I have in my head over the years had a sort of canon of personal favorite movies about movies.

But after this week, perhaps it's changed a little bit.

And I've always been fascinated as a filmmaker myself. I love to see the way that process is

kind of portrayed on screen because the thing about movies is that they're very long, complicated,

and difficult personally and technically to make. So it's not always exciting to see on

screen. I mean, what you often see in movies about movie making is, you know, like Truffaut's

day for night, the agony and the ecstasy. It's so hard, but at the end of the day, isn't it

glorious? The Dream Factory, Babylon, baby. Yeah. Avatar, right there on screen, right?
