Good evening and welcome to this episode of The Mary Trump Show.

I am, you know, there's actually not a word quite to describe how I'm feeling right now

about my next guest to say I'm grateful that he's here is the understatement of the millennium.

He is, as you all know, a phenomenal actor, director, human being.

And as some of you may not know, but we will certainly talk about a lot, somebody who

has been paying attention to what's been happening in America for a very long time and has

had his fingers on the pulse of what has been going wrong.

And, you know, who's opinion I value more than just about anybody's in terms of what he

thinks needs to happen.

So Rob Reiner, thank you so, so much for being here tonight.

Well, thank you, Mary.

And thanks for having me because I have to say that when you came on the scene, that

to me was the biggest breath of fresh air.

And when you came out with your book and the first person to really explain to the public

what we were dealing with.

I mean, the presidency of Donald Trump is one of the strangest things that has happened

in American history.

And a lot of people for a long time couldn't understand how this could have occurred.

And now we're at a place where we see not only his effect on a big chunk of the population,

but a real fear of stealing our democracy, which started with his presidency and peaked

twice and then launched a violent attack on our capital.

And here we are, you know, where he has still refused to admit that he lost an election.
