Summary

One of the reasons being a Highly Sensitive Person is tough because a lot of people don't believe that HSP is a legitimate thing.

This episode 39 is about dealing with those haters. It's a little heavy on the sarcasm and ranty-ness, so fair warning.

My new book is out on Amazon: A Highly Sensitive Person's Life: stories & tips for those who experience the world intensely.

This is the highly sensitive person podcast where I talk about what it's like to have sensory processing sensitivity.

don't be so sensitive or stop worrying about things so much. But I feel that my sensitivity

0:55.3

is simply a part of who I am. Especially as a guy, I sometimes feel that people look down on me for it.

But this podcast has helped me love and accept who I am exactly the way I am. And I can't express how

1:07.4

comforting it is to know that there are quite a few others out there who think

1:16.1

and to try to be more accepting of the times when people aren't sensitive of my feelings.

1:21.3

Thanks so much, Aqua. This is quite relevant to today's topic, actually.

1:27.1

Today's show is about haters,

1:29.5

the people who don't believe that high sensitivity is a real thing,

1:33.1

or who think that HSPs are just whiners who want it to be treated in a special way,

1:38.4

or that HSPs are making excuses to accept their flaws,

1:42.0

instead of trying to improve themselves.

1:45.0

When I see comments like all the stuff I just said, it's like a little fire is inside my gut.

1:51.0

It just riles me up and ticks me off.

Because, well, part of it is just the nature of the internet.
