Summary
In today's episode we give you six tips to stay consistent and make fitness a long term lifestyle.
1- Stay focused on the fundamentals vs. the fads
-There are way too many things that can take up too much of your time & energy that give you little to no benefits.
2- Avoid giving yourself the option
-Busy day of meetings, etc instead of saying “I have no time” ask yourself, “how can I make the time?”
-Create non-negotiables in your life that you DO NOT SKIP and no matter what - It gets done.
[Like listening to Monday & Thursdays episodes ;)]
3- Aim for progression, not perfection.
-If you’re too hard on yourself and feel the need to be perfect, very likely you’ll only do stuff when the situation is absolutely perfect.
Nutrition- doesn’t have to be 100% perfect, can still be 85% and get great results.
4- Build your own fitness community
-Who’s your circle of 5?
-Have people hold you accountable around you.
5- Focus on identity change
“Many people begin the process of changing their habits by focusing on what they want to achieve. This leads us to outcome-based habits. The alternative is build identity-based habits. With this approach, we start by focusing on who we wish to become.”
Too many people will reach a goal, and then stop because of focusing on the outcome, not their identity.
6- Don’t allow excuses to take over.
“Once your reach x age, it all goes downhill.”
“It’s a busy week so I’ll get back to it next week.”
Don't listen to all the excuses that can come up, and it will be much easier to stay consistent.
Thanks for listening! We genuinely appreciate every single one of you listening.

So these six tips are going to connect those dots for you and really make this process simple and easy. But before we do jump into the episode today, me and Kyle also have a small ask if you |

| 1:08.6 | leave a start on iTunes you can do a little bit of write-up. |
| 1:26.9 | But doing that really does help us out a ton, and your one review really does make a difference. So if you could do that, thank you, thank you so much. Now we're going to jump into the episode. Also, I guess another little fun little bonus, giving away $50 Starbucks gift card this week on our Instagram, at Kloss is fit. It's totally free to enter. |

| 1:29.9 | You know, you can see what me and Kyle are up to. |
| 2:01.8 | Stay up to date, so don't miss on that either that'll be the top link in the description so go ahead and enter that it's free and who doesn't love free but we're going to jump into it with numero uno and the first and biggest tip you know if you're going to take anything I really recommend you take this one home because this is the one that kind of changed everything for me. And that's to stay focused on the fundamentals and avoid the fads. When I started in my fitness journey, I was a newbie. I was someone, you know, I want to see results. I wanted abs. I wanted to jack back. That was my focus. I was so new at the time. I didn't train chess because I didn't want man boobs. I thought for some reason it would make man boobs not pecks. So I literally probably for the first like six months of my journey did not train chess at all. But you know, that's that's the beginner's experience. Right. When something's new, it's going to be, you know, novel it's going to be different it's going to be scary like you're not going to know what's important what's not it's easy to make mistakes right and during this time especially those of you that are newer to this journey it's really easy to be lured in by the fads and the quick fixes and you know the things that seem like oh you know if i just buy this product it'll solve all my and help me avoid the hard work. But at the end of the day, I can promise you with someone who's done this and it has produced over 2,000 transformations. This is not the case whatsoever. It's the fundamentals that get results. And obviously, there's little intricacies of these fundamentals that can ramp up your progress and really maximize it. But at the end of the day, |
| 2:52.0 | you know, you need to be eating right, training hard and having a plan as well as accountability. |
| 2:57.3 | You have those four things. You're going to be good to go. There are way too many things that can |
| 3:01.5 | just distract you and bring you down a wrong path. And, you know, some examples of this are I see |
| 3:06.9 | people who get to the gym and you know |
| 3:09.2 | they're doing some crazy weird warm-up thing for 45 minutes they live for five minutes and leave |
| 3:14.4 | you know it's going to be hurting your progress there's people that have every supplement on |
| 3:17.6 | the planet earth but go to the gym maybe once every three weeks you know like don't fall into |
| 3:22.2 | those traps don't fall into you know just the quick fixes of the really ask yourself, you know, am I doing what I need to do? Am I challenging eating good food? Am I making sure to, you know, analyze that I'm consuming the right amount of calories? Am I getting enough protein? You know, am I training hard? Am I on a dedicated routine? Like, these are the things need to ask you because these are the things |
| 3:41.5 | that are going to generate results. Yeah, I'm so glad Josh brought that up. And you know, it's like, |
| 3:45.3 | it takes a lot of energy and like just to do the wrong things and just like, you know, pass like |
| 3:50.6 | just how much time it takes. I know everyone's busy. Everyone has like just, you know, so many things going |
