I'm really excited to share this because one of the problems in the world right this moment is a lack of self-compassion.

As a matter of fact, I have heard it called the Great Unnamed Epidemic.

And it's kind of interesting because we think lack of self-compassion, but it really is an interesting dilemma. You will find this some of you, perhaps

when you try and practice this meditation. It may be hard for you to do the first section which is offering

yourself the points that we talk about. Offering it to yourself. We all find it very easy to

extend ourselves to others but can find great difficulty in extending to ourselves compassion

and loving kindness. It truly is an epidemic and it's never fully been acknowledged or named and you probably don't talk about it with your friends for you know when you're discussing what's going on in the world and what some of the problems are.

But if you think about it, the way that you treat yourself and the way that you talk to yourself is probably much

more demanding and much harder on yourself than you are with anyone else.
