You know, one thing we learn as we grow as gardeners is which crops take up a lot of time

and effort and labor and which ones are more hands off.

Those are some crops we learn.

We learn which is which pretty quickly and as we continue to expand our gardens and adding more, we start to realize the

benefits of the crops that don't take as much hands-on labor. And do you know the most hands-off

edible crop that I grow in my garden? Even more hands-off than garlic. Garlic would be a close number

two is berries.

Berries like blueberries and blackberries and other perennial crops, they are most often planted

in the spring by new gardeners, which is definitely what I started out doing in the past.

But did you know that if you plant some of these perennial edible

crops in the fall, that you could have better results and a faster harvest. As we head
