Hey, everybody. This month, I've been donating my episodes to Brave Like Gabe. And if you don't know what Brave Like Gabe is, well, Gabe Grunold was a good friend of mine. She was a professional runner and she passed away from rare cancer at a way too young of age. She was a light and so much fun. And every year she has, or we have, what's called the Brave Like Gabe 5K.

Gabe started it, and now we continue on, and all of the proceeds go to help fund rare cancer

research. So if you are around here in Minnesota in September and you want to run the

Today in the show I interview Kara Winger.

She is the best.

Kara is so much fun.

She's a professional javelin thrower.

She's a nine-time U.S. champ.

She's a world silver medalist from 2022.

She's the American record holder. And she's a four-time Olympic javelin thrower,

which she might be called a five-time Olympic javelin thrower after this comes out.

In this episode, we hear all about Kara's retirement in 2022 and how she's making a comeback

just a couple of weeks before the Olympic trials to try to make that Paris Olympic team. She came back

and won her very first race and only race heading into the trials at the Grand Prix meet in New York

just a couple weeks ago. We also hear how she's doing things a little bit differently this time

around what it would mean for her to be a five-time US Olympic javelin thrower. We did a lot of rapid fire, which is my favorite way to get to know people.

And we just heard about her story in general.
