Yes, now I've never seen the first Magic Mike, but I spoke with Cat about this, but my understanding of these two films is that the first Magic Mike is quite a gritty, serious look into the world of male stripping that trends a bit

towards the dramatic about a protagonist who's desperate to get out of this life and

Magic Mike XXL is kind of like L-O-L-J-K.

Yeah, the first one tried to be a movie and nobody wanted that.

I don't know if nobody wanted that?

Well, I think it was a meme to like go with your girlfriend's and then everyone was like,

why is there so much about him trying to get a small business loan.

That's not what we signed up for.

I feel like that's what if I would have signed up for.

I'm like, quiet everyone, we can't hear the plot of Magic Mike.

And then for the sequel, they were like, oh, so like, what if we had no plot? And everyone's like,

that's what we wanted. That's what we all wanted the whole time. I say nay.

But what do you think about Magic Mike XXL?

I mean, it's a fun movie.

There's barely anything here, but it's not trying to have anything there.

I find the Jo Manganello convenience store theme,

seen very fun.
