Today we are joined by Ailea, director of pastoral care at Purdue Christian

Campus House, wife and mother of three adult children. Leah's experiences as an elementary

teacher, pastor, and adoptive mother led her to become curious about trauma and eventually compelled

her to pursue certificates in narrative focused trauma care, also called story work through

the Allender Center.

welcome to to say whatever you'd like. Sure my husband Rob and I are located in West Lafayette

in Indiana near the campus of Purdue University where we've served for more than 32 years in college ministry.

Who?

That's a long time.

32 years.

We're old.

Our ministry is now shifting from being predominantly college ministry to more of a fuller

expression of intergenerational church so we're in a time of a transition.

It's been really good though. For a while now, Rob and I have had a dream of opening a space where we might offer retreats or intensives for pastors or individuals or couples who are in need of care.

Nothing solid on the horizon, but we are praying

and just discerning about what God might have for us
