This podcast is a production of authentic intimacy, a ministry dedicated to reclaiming God's design for sexuality.

Well, last week's episode, I had a great conversation with Jackie Hill Perry about her new book, Wholier Than Now.

And if you haven't heard it, I recommend that you go back and listen to that conversation.

But when we recorded that conversation, it was the first time that Jackie and I had ever had a chance to meet in person.

So we have recorded podcasts over Zoom, talked on the phone, done some email exchange, but never

had a chance to see each other face to face.

After we recorded the podcast on Holier Than Now, I just wanted to get to know Jackie a little

bit better.

I wanted to ask her questions about ministry, about some of the things she's experiencing

right now, And we kept

those mics on for the benefit of you being able to listen to what we talked about. And I just

want to share this conversation with you that Jackie and I had letting you know that we're entering

into some vulnerable and frankly uncomfortable talking points.

A lot of times in the church, we talk about unity in Christ.

We talk about loving one another, but we don't know how to bridge the gap of your experiences

versus my experiences, your perspective versus my perspective.

We talk about that sometimes on job with Julie, but in today's episode, we're actually

modeling that.

Jackie and I are our sisters in Christ who really respect each other, who love the Lord

Jesus, who have different experiences and who may see things differently.
