Welcome back to the quarter of the day show. I'm your host, Sean Crox and

Ashan Crox and dot com. Today we've got John Addison back on the show and

today John is talking about what it means to be a leader. Here's John.

Norman Vitzepiel said a peaceful mind generates power and that is absolutely

the truth. A peaceful mind generates power. A peaceful soul generates power.

Look, a leader has to be the human alchiceltzer. You see a lot of people in

leadership positions, particularly political leadership positions, and if

there's a little fire smothering, they run and throw gas on it.

Leaders are unites, not dividers. Leaders calm things down. Leaders bring

things back to the center. Leaders are like the eye of the storm. Leaders make

people come together, not go apart. See, that is the mark of leadership.

That is the, sometimes when you're the leader, you have to put your personal

opinions to the side. You can't do just what you want to do. You have to understand

where people are and get them to move to a better place. That means sometimes

going, okay, I understand what they're thinking, I understand what they're thinking,

I understand what those folks are thinking. How do I pull all of that together

and move the ball down the field? Leaders make things better.

And that starts with you having a peaceful core, where you have a center to

you that can stand up to the storm. You need to find hobbies or whatever that

make you forget the craziness of life. I love to guard you. I've got a farm

with 50 something acres and I am completely at peace on a tractor or planting
