Hey! It is Natalie Jill! Today on Midlife Conversations I am chatting with Matt Gallant and Wade Lightheart from BIOptimizers to discuss the importance of factors like HCL, probiotics, and more in our diets. Wade, once a vegetarian, and Matt, originally on keto, had their paths converge. Despite popular belief that diet reigns supreme, what truly matters is understanding how nutrition functions. A critical assumption prevails among nutritionists: that everything consumed is effectively utilized by the body. However, this is far from reality. Even with the highest quality food, effective breakdown and absorption are essential for nutrients to enter the bloodstream and provide fuel.
In this episode, you will learn:
Optimal health is about what we DIGEST, not just what we eat
The importance of gut health and digestion in midlife issues
Why BiOptimizers takes gut health and digestion so seriously
The concept of enzymes and probiotics in aiding digestion
Misconceptions around bloating and gas
